Compare perspectives without losing the brief
When evaluating models for an exploratory task, keep the brief consistent. Ask each setup to explain its assumptions, propose a small implementation and identify the main tradeoff. Compare the usefulness of the reasoning and the work produced, rather than the confidence or length of the answer.
A hosted model may reduce local setup work; a local endpoint requires a suitable running server and hardware. Neither choice establishes an automatic quality or privacy advantage. Check the actual configuration, data handling and tools required for your project before deciding which perspective to use.
